Research
Our group is centered on the development of new catalytic methods that would allow efficient synthesis of polyfunctional organic compounds. The catalysts we were particularly interested in are boranes (organoborons). Research projects are directed towards the following aspects: new synthetic methods, asymmetric catalysis, activation of inert chemical bonds (C–H and C–C activations), and synthetic applications in pharmaceutical science and material science. Ultimately, we hope to develop highly practical and effective catalytic reactions that are desirable for both academia and industry.
